The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is a competitive collegiate athletic conference affiliated with the NCAA's Division II. The GLIAC was founded in June 1972.
The GLIAC introduced wrestling to its conference in the 2011-2012 season as the University of Findlay won the first ever GLIAC Men’s Wrestling Championship. In 2012-2013, Notre Dame College won before joining the Mountain East Conference. In 2013-2014 and 2014-2015, the Lake Erie College Storm won the GLIAC Men’s Wrestling Championship. This past season all four teams from The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) showed its strength at the 2015 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships as Lake Erie, Tiffin, Findlay and Ashland all displayed strong showing in St. Louis at Regionals.
